Position SummaryThe Junior Device Technician will be hired with an expectation that upon employment, the trainee will enroll in and complete a comprehensive formal training program in the field of cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs) offered by a professional training school (e.g. the Arrhythmia Technologies Institute's Certificate program in cardiac device technology). The employee must successfully complete the six-month didactic preparatory course, which is interspersed with clinical practice and hands-on skill laboratories. Portions of the coursework and six months of hands-on work will be performed at Valley prior to advancing to the role of Junior Device Technician. The cost of the program will be covered by The Valley Health System.
