Responsibilities / Tasks

  • P&ID Review in detail for Electrical, Instrumentation related inputs
  • Preparing instruments list, Technical specifications & sizing ( Selection ) of various instruments
  • Instrument Hook up (Installation) drawing & Instrument Cable Selection
  • Power & Control cable schedule (Interconnection of instruments with PLC )
  • Preparation of PCC / Motor / MCC load list from P&ID 
  • Designing of HT / LT power distribution system
  • Selection of Transformer & DG system
  • Fault Level & Earthing calculation
  • GA and wiring drawing review
  • Layout Engineering
  • E&I Site supervision
  • Vendor Offers Evaluation

    Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualification of Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation & Controls

    • Work Experience

  • 3-7 years of experience
  • Experience of Electrical & Instrumentation detail Engineering in project execution-based companies like Dairy / Food / Beverage / Petrochemical / Steel / Chemical / Electrical system design
  • Experience of working with consultant like NDDB/ UDHE / MOT / NTPC / EIL / Jacobs / TKIL etc. is an added advantage.
  • Hands on experience of Electrical & Instrumentation component / panels / Automation panel installation and commissioning at project site.
  • LT & HT Electrical engineering, vendor offer evaluation, vendor documents validation & panel FAT as vendor workshop for above type of industries.
  • Documentation preparation for Dairy / Food / Beverages / Chemical industries project execution
  • Electrical & Instrumentation lay outing work like cable, cable tray layout, panel layout etc.

    • Skills - Engineer - Electrical & Instrumentation

  • Dairy /Food / Beverage /Petrochemical/ Steel / Chemical process know-how, especially liquid plant, Spray Dryer, Evaporator
  • Basic understanding of PLC / RIO Panel hardware.
  • Designing of MCC & Intelligent MCC Panel.
  • ASI / Ethernet communication interface knowledge. 
  • Hazardous area classification for instrument and electrical item. 
  • Electrical & Instrumentation equipment testing
  • VFD selection and design
  • Power Factor and Harmonic correction engineering
  • HT & LT Electrical detail engineering
  • Instruments selection & sizing

    • Tasks

  • Detailed engineering of Electrical & Instrumentation
  • Project site installation supervision and troubleshooting for Electrical & Instrumentation / PLC hardware panels
  • Testing of Electrical (MCC, PCC, IMCC), PLC & RIO panels 
  • E&I site installation & site contractor handling 
  • E&I vendor and customer coordination 
  • Handling pre order activities for E&I

    • Languages

  • Proficient in English
  • Good to have Regional Language, preferably Hindi 

    • Other Qualifications

  • Computer literacy with Mail Outlook
  • Microsoft Office Products
  • Good to have MS Projects 2013 professional & E-Plan

    • Overview

  • Basic understanding of Mechanical Engineering
  • Good understanding of Electricals
  • Good understanding of Process Instruments
  • Good understanding of Automation hardware .
  • Industrial Process knowhow in Dairy, Food, Beverage, Chemical, Emision control , steel & Utilities, 
  • Exposure to above mentioned Industries and strong contacts in these industries.
  • Ability to manage both internal and external resources within a project team environment.
  • Demonstrate problem solving capabilities.

    • Travel Requirements

  • The Engineer would be based in India 
  • Extensive travel will be required, Involving extended periods on sites throughout India & abroad.
