Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and maintain electrical systems on all floors, ensuring they are functioning safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues such as lighting, circuit problems, and power outages.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks on electrical equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Install and upgrade electrical systems and wiring according to building needs and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all local electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Respond to emergency electrical issues and repair malfunctions quickly to restore service.
  • Maintain and update floor electrical layouts and schematics.
  • Work closely with other maintenance teams to resolve facility issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Keep detailed records of work completed, including repairs, inspections, and replacements.
  • Collaborate with management to plan and schedule electrical maintenance and repairs in coordination with overall facility needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school BE/diploma or equivalent; associates degree or vocational training in electrical technology preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and wiring.
  • Proficient in the use of electrical tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical faults.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Electrical certification (e.g., Journeyman Electrician) may be required depending on location.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of building management systems (BMS) or energy management systems (EMS).
  • Experience with HVAC systems, generators, and other facility equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
