Job Description Job Description Jr Designer A growing, award-winning interior design firm seeks a Junior Designer for our Berkeley, CA studio. The junior designer is embedded within the design team and will collaborate with designers, project managers, and the principal. This position is ideally suited for someone with 2 years’ experience, with the potential to grow into an intermediate role. We are looking for someone who is organized, hardworking, and self-sufficient with a passion for design and highly skilled in Sketch Up. Under the direction of either a Designer or Principal, the assistant or junior designer will guide projects through the entire design life cycle, including: Extensive modeling in SketchUp Measuring projects and creating existing layouts Researching building materials, furniture, and finishes Preparing client proposals and presentation boards Creating schedules, sourcing furniture, and leading procurement Working directly with surveyors, architects, clients, and o...
