Bombay Design Lab is hiring in Mumbai. Junior Designer. Furniture first, with an interiors foundation.
This role is for someone who wants to build real pieces and develop a strong design language, while also understanding how furniture lives inside a space. If you know someone who is furniture obsessed but can still read a plan, please tag them or share this post.
What you will work on:
- furniture design development from concept to production ready detailing
- technical drawings, proportions, joinery logic, and finish callouts
- material research, sampling, prototyping support
- coordination with workshops and vendors
- interiors support if required: layouts, elevations, and site coordination
You should have:
- good taste
- strong eye for form, proportion, and details
- Auto CAD is a must
- Rhino or any equivalent 3 D modelling and rendering software
