Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Network Engineer with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in managing and supporting on-premises network infrastructure. This role involves maintaining secure, highly available, and compliant network environments that support payment platforms and enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong networking fundamentals, solid troubleshooting skills, and exposure to secure enterprise network environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain on-premises network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers

• Monitor network performance, availability, and security across data center environments

• Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, VPN, and firewall-related issues with minimal downtime

• Assist in the configuration and maintenance of VLANs, routing protocols, and access control policies

• Support firewall rule management, VPN (IPSec/SSL) configurations, and network segmentation

• Participate in change management, incident management, and root cause analysis (RCA)

• Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and ISPs for issue resolution

• Ensure compliance with security standards relevant to payments and BFSI environments (PCI-DSS, ISO, internal audits)

• Participate in on-call or shift-based support as required

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience as a Network Engineer or Network Support Engineer

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT

• Hands-on experience with on-premises networking devices (Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Aruba, or similar)

• Experience working with enterprise firewalls and VPN technologies

• Good knowledge of routing and switching concepts

• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools

• Familiarity with data center networking environments

Preferred / Good to Have

• Exposure to load balancers (F5, Citrix, or similar)

• Basic knowledge of Linux commands for network troubleshooting

• Understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, and Problem Management)

• Certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent

• Experience in BFSI or Payments domain

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work under pressure in production environments

• Good communication and documentation skills

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
