Job Summary:

The Merchandiser will drive the end-to-end order management process, from client inquiries to shipment, ensuring seamless coordination with suppliers, adherence to international standards, and on-time delivery of high-quality, ethically sourced products. Junior roles focus on execution and support, while Senior roles emphasize strategy, client relations, and team leadership. This on-site position requires hands-on collaboration in our dynamic export environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage order lifecycle: Handle client inquiries, develop cost sheets, negotiate pricing, and confirm production plans with suppliers.
  • Coordinate with production teams and artisans to ensure ethical sourcing, Fair Trade compliance, and alignment with client specifications (e.G., EU REACH, Japanese eco-labels).
  • Monitor production timelines, conduct quality checks, and resolve issues to meet delivery deadlines and minimize delays.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including size sets, strike-offs, and lab dips, for client approvals.
  • Liaise with international clients via email, calls, and virtual meetings to provide updates, samples, and shipment statuses.
  • Track shipments, co-ordinate with the logistic team and ensure compliance with export regulations.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements for efficiency and sustainability (Senior level).


Qualifications and Skill:

  • Junior Level: 1-3 years in apparel merchandising or exports;
    basic knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, cost analysis.
  • Senior Level: 4+ years in export merchandising, knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, cost analysis and with proven experience in EU/Japan markets and team coordination.
  • Knowledge of the product development processes with an understanding of the apparel and textile industry
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work under deadlines with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Familiarity with ethical sourcing, Fair Trade certifications, and sustainable practices.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional client relationships.
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion designing or a related field is preferred.
