Job Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor who enjoys crafting fast, engaging, and scroll-stopping social media videos. This role is ideal for someone passionate about short-form storytelling, social trends, and digital content creation.

You will work closely with content, design, and strategy teams to transform ideas into high-performing videos for social platforms. Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and paid social ads
  

• Transform raw footage into polished edits with strong pacing and smooth, social-friendly transitions
  

• Add basic motion graphics, captions, text overlays, and visual enhancements
  

• Stay updated with platform trends, audio trends, and evolving visual styles
  

• Optimise videos for multiple aspect ratios and platform requirements
  

• Support senior editors with asset organisation, version control, and project clean-up
  

• Use AI and next-generation tools for tasks like auto-captioning, rough cuts, and quick visual enhancements
  

Required Skills & Technical Expertise

• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and Canva
  

• Basic familiarity with After Effects for simple motion elements
  

• Solid understanding of vertical video composition, pacing, and social-first editing styles
  

• Ability to work with trending formats such as punch-ins, meme-style edits, sound-based cuts, and quick transitions
  

• Basic exposure to AI tools including:
  Runway ML, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, HeyGen, Synthesia, Veed.io, Descript, or similar

• Understanding of basic colour correction, audio clean-up, and export settings for social platforms
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in video editing, with a focus on short-form content
  

• A strong showreel demonstrating clean cuts, sharp timing, and creative social edits
  

• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn new tools, techniques, and trends
  

• Comfortable receiving feedback and collaborating with senior editors
  

• Passionate about social media and a strong sense of what performs well in feeds
  

Additional Preferred Skills

• Basic sound design skills (SFX placement, audio levelling, transitions)
  

• Familiarity with thumbnail creation, simple typography, or social graphic elements
  

• Interest in expanding skills in motion graphics, AI-assisted editing, and colour grading
  

• Ability to create simple templates or presets for recurring content
