Job Description
Key Responsibilities Architecture & Solution Design Architect enterprise-scale Juniper Mist solutions covering APs, EX switches, Marvis AI, Mist Edge, and cloud-based SLEs. Design endtoend WLAN architectures for high-density environments, warehouses, offices, retail spaces, and manufacturing floors. Build reference architectures leveraging: Mist APs (Wi-Fi 6/6E/7 readiness) Mist Edge for tunnelling/extension use cases VXLAN fabric integrations AI-driven RRM, client steering, and coverage optimization Develop RF design standards, heatmaps, placement models, and WLPC-aligned best practices. Create enterprise templates for SSID design, segmentation (VLAN/DHCP/DNS), QoS, and identity integration. Implementation & Deployment Lead complete build-out of Mist environments including: Organization and site structure Device profiles & templates API-driven configuration WLAN, RF, and switch templates Plan and execute migration from legacy controllers (Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus) to Mist cloud. Oversee brownfield to Mist transformation using structured methods, change governance, and automation. Troubleshooting & Advanced Operations Serve as top-tier technical escalation for complex wireless issues related to: RF interference Roaming/latency problems Authentication (802.1X/MAC auth) Mist Edge tunnels AP-to-switch interactions (LLDP, PoE, VLANs, STP) Leverage Marvis AI for root cause analysis, SLE improvement, and proactive remediation. Use packet captures, AP utilities, syslogs, and controllerless analytics to diagnose and resolve systemic issues. Perform WLAN performance audits, RF tuning, and SLE optimization. Integration & Automation Architect and integrate Mist with identity and security platforms: Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, Azure AD, Okta, RADIUS/802.1X Develop automation workflows using: Mist APIs, Python scripting, Terraform (optional) Configuration-as-code for templates and site provisioning Implement monitoring and observability via APIs into tools such as: SolarWinds LogicMonitor Splunk ServiceNow Strategy, Governance & Transformation Define wireless standards and best practices across the enterprise. Develop multi-year cloud WiFi transformation roadmaps and drive stakeholder alignment. Build operational runbooks, L2/L3 support models, troubleshooting guides, and site-onboarding processes.
