Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation: Washing, peeling, chopping ingredients; portioning and assembling dishes; basic cooking tasks like boiling or mixing.
  • Cleanliness & Hygiene: Sanitizing workstations, washing utensils/equipment, maintaining overall kitchen order, and waste disposal.
  • Stock & Inventory: Receiving deliveries, storing supplies, and ensuring ingredients are available for shifts.
  • Support: Assisting chefs and kitchen supervisors with various tasks, operating machinery, and sometimes serving.

Work Environment & Skills

  • Physical Demands: Standing for long periods, hot/cold temperatures, potential for repetitive strain.
  • Shifts: May involve day, night, or rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Key Skills: Teamwork, attention to detail, time management, ability to follow procedures, and a positive attitude.
