A kitchen helper, also known as a kitchen assistant or kitchen porter, has many responsibilities in a kitchen, including:

·Cleaning: Washing dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized 

·Food preparation: Assisting with basic food preparation, such as washing produce and cutting meat 

·Receiving and storing: Receiving and storing food and kitchen supplies, and ensuring food is stored safely to prevent spoiling 

·Waste disposal: Emptying trash bins and disposing of waste regularly 

·Collaboration: Working with chefs and cooks to ensure a smooth flow of kitchen operations 

·Sanitation: Adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines 

·Customer service: Assisting the culinary team and waitstaff to provide good customer service 

Kitchen helpers typically have knowledge of general kitchen operations and food storage guidelines.
