Job Description
Although the role is based at our Italian office, this is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in advancing compliance knowledge for engineered materials within the automotive industry, supporting our prestigious customers to meet global regulatory requirements and sustainability goals.
Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on physical, mechanical, and chemical properties of metals, polymers, and batteries, as mandated by international regulations and standards. Provide guidance on material compliance, monitor emerging global requirements, and manage documentation within regulatory databases. Support interpretation of regulations and prepare executive summary reports on regulatory changes and their impact on customers and business.
Under general supervision and guidance, act as a point of contact with internal teams and industry stakeholders to obtain and maintain knowledge of automotive material regulations and sustainability trends. Contribute to identifying new business opportunities by delivering high-quality research and customized solutions that ensure adherence to global standards and circularity principles.
+ Provide comprehensive and research reports based on the required regulatory information.
+ Provide point-of-access support to address any local acceptance issues under supervision and guidance.
+ Coordinate research/studies including multiple products, regulations, countries under supervision and guidance.
+ May act as owner of certain geographic areas or regulations under supervision and guidance.
+ Cooperate with industries and colleagues to support development GMA knowledge services and customized solutions.
+ Supports actions related to GMA business expansion scope, track opportunity and business results.
+ May supervise the day-to-day delivery of high-quality knowledge services under supervision and guidance.
+ Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
+ Perform other duties as directed.
+ Maintain expertise and provide guidance on:
o Automotive material standards and specifications (performance, mechanical, electrical)
o Chemical and environmental requirements (e.g., REACH, RoHS, VOC limits, emissions, flammability and ignition)
o Circularity and end-of-life requirements (recycled content, CRM , EoLV)
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum 2 years of related experienced.
+ Bachelors Degree Engineering, International Relations, or other specialization based on the specific coverage, preferred.
+ Strong knowledge of automotive material standards and compliance requirements.
+ Familiarity with chemical/environmental regulations (REACH, RoHS, VOC, Battery Regulation, EoLV, TSCA, Prop 65).
+ Understanding of electromagnetic material properties and applications.
+ Excellent analytical and research skills.
+ Proficiency in English (mandatory).
+ Additional languages are considered a plus.
