Job Role : - Kong Administrator & Developer

Job Type : - Onsite (Abu Dhabi, UAE)

Experience : - 4-10 Years

Job Roles & Responsibilities: -

• Design, develop, and configure Kong entities (services, routes, plugins, caching, API management).
• Create and customize Kong plugins; implement request/response transformations.
• Develop custom Lua scripts for extended functionality.
• Integrate Kong with APIs, backend systems, and DevOps pipelines.
• Manage API security authentication, authorization, rate limiting, RBAC.
• Implement traffic management (load balancing, caching).
• Monitor and troubleshoot Kong performance issues.
• Maintain API documentation via Kong Developer Portal.
• Stay updated on new Kong features and best practices.

Job Skills & Requirements: -

• Strong experience in Kong administration and development .
• Solid understanding of API design (REST, OpenAPI) and microservices architecture .
• Proficient in Lua and Python scripting.
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD).
• Experience with Kubernetes , Kong Ingress , and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with API security (OAuth, OIDC, Auth0) and testing tools (Postman, JMeter, Insomnia).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
• Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field.
• Kong certification preferred.
