Job Description
A international trading company based in the Rotterdam area is seeking a Korean-speaking Trader to join their trading team.
They’re looking for someone entrepreneurial, driven, and deeply interested in the dynamics of international commerce. You will own end-to-end cross-border trading—from market research and supplier sourcing to contract execution and logistics—while collaborating with internal teams and global partners to drive results.
TYPE: Full-time, initially 1-year contract (with the intention to move into a permanent contract in the future)
WORKING HOURS: 09:00-18:00 including 1 hour lunch break
SALARY: + Holiday allowance
BENEFIT: 25 days annual leave (+1 for birthday), Commuting allowance, Free Lunch everyday (cooked by a chef), Pension (8%)
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Rotterdam area (office-based position)
Korean-speaking Trader Main Responsibilities:
• Identify trading opportunities through market research
• Source, evaluate, and manage global supplier and buyer relationships
• Negotiate and execute international contracts
• Manage logistics, documentation, and delivery
• Coordinate with legal, finance, and compliance teams
• Track trade performance and market trends
• Ensure regulatory compliance across all activities
• Contribute to strategic and cross-functional projects
• Travel for trade shows, supplier visits, and deal negotiations
Finance Assistant Ideal Candidate:
• Fluent in English and Korean
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
• 2+ years in trading, supply chain, or B2B sales
• Independent, proactive, and ownership-driven
• Excellent communication with global partners
• Proficient in Excel; ERP experience a plus
• Knowledge of Incoterms and trade documentation
• Adaptable to fast-paced, multicultural settings
