Job Description

We’re looking for a Kubernetes Platform Engineer who loves building resilient, scalable infrastructure and taking real ownership of the platforms they create.

This role sits at the heart of a modern Hybrid Cloud environment, spanning bare metal, on-prem and AWS. You’ll be designing, building and operating a Kubernetes platform that underpins critical workloads, using best-in-class tooling and automation.

If you enjoy deep technical work, solving complex infrastructure challenges and collaborating closely with developers and SREs, this role will keep you challenged and engaged.

What you’ll be doing Platform & Infrastructure

  • Design, build and operate a Kubernetes-based Hybrid Cloud platform
  • Deliver secure, scalable and highly available infrastructure across on-premises and AWS environments
  • Manage Linux systems across bare metal, on-prem and cloud
  • Optimise workload placement for performance, reliability and cost

Automation & CI/CD

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform, Ansible and Helm
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD
  • Support container image build and release processes

Networking, Security & Reliability

  • Implement secure networking using Wireguard and Cilium
  • Ensure data integrity and security using RAID, LUKS and LVM
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure platform availability

Observability

  • Deploy and operate monitoring and logging platforms including Prometheus, Grafana and ElasticSearch
  • Proactively monitor platform health and performance

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work closely with Developers and SREs to deliver infrastructure that meets business needs
  • Create and maintain clear, high-quality technical documentation
  • Take ownership and drive continuous improvement in an asynchronous team environment

What you’ll bring

  • 3+ years’ experience in infrastructure or platform engineering with a strong Kubernetes focus
  • Hands-on experience with Hybrid Cloud environments (bare metal, on-prem and AWS)
  • Strong Linux systems administration skills
  • Proven experience with Terraform, Ansible and Helm
  • Solid understanding of containerisation and Kubernetes ecosystems
  • Experience with networking and security tools such as Wireguard and Cilium
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ElasticSearch)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a pragmatic, problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Comfortable taking ownership and working independently

Why you’ll want this role

  • Work on a modern, Kubernetes-first Hybrid Cloud platform
  • High level of ownership and technical autonomy
  • Exposure to complex, real-world infrastructure challenges
  • Opportunity to influence platform architecture and best practices
  • Collaborative engineering-led environment

If you’re a Kubernetes engineer who enjoys building platforms that matter and wants to work across cloud and bare metal, we’d love to hear from you.
