Experience: 1 to 3 years' experience in Network devices configuration and monitoring 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented L1 Network Engineer to join our IT 

support team. As a L1 Network Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for 

network-related issues, responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and escalating 

incidents in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network switch and access point configuration

• Configuration of MAC address binding and port security

• VLAN configuration

• Monitoring of network devices and ISP links 

• Respond to network alerts and incidents as per standard operating procedures.

• Perform basic troubleshooting of network issues (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi)

• Assist in diagnosing hardware and software issues in switches and routers.

• Handle service desk tickets related to network connectivity and escalate to 

L2/L3 teams as needed.

• Document issues, solutions, and procedures for future reference.

• Coordinate with ISPs for link related issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a 

related field.

• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs 

and subnets.

• Basic knowledge of routing protocols 

• Familiarity with Cisco and Meraki network equipment (certifications like CCNA 

are a plus).

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• IT certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA (Cisco Certified Network 

Associate).
