Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Network L3 Engineer to design, implement, optimize, and troubleshoot large-scale Cisco-based enterprise networks. This role involves handling complex routing and switching environments, providing L3/L4 escalation support, and contributing to major network transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and support Cisco routing and switching infrastructures
  • Provide L3/L4 escalation support for critical network incidents
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and static routing
  • Implement and support LAN/WAN, Internet, and SD-WAN architectures
  • Execute network migrations, upgrades, and change activities with minimal downtime
  • Perform deep-dive root cause analysis using packet flows, routing tables, and control-plane behavior
  • Design and maintain high availability, redundancy, and resilience models
  • Create and maintain HLDs, LLDs, runbooks, and as-built documentation
  • Collaborate with security, data center, and cloud teams
  • Mentor L1/L2 engineers and provide technical leadership
Technical Skills RequiredCisco & Networking
  • Cisco Platforms: Catalyst 9K/3K/2K, ISR/ASR routers
  • Routing: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MP-BGP, redistribution
  • Switching: VLANs, STP/RSTP/MST, LACP, EtherChannel
  • WAN: MPLS, DIA, Internet, QoS, Traffic Engineering
  • SD-WAN: Cisco Viptela (advantage)
  • Network Services: DHCP, DNS, NTP, SNMP, NetFlow
  • Troubleshooting: Packet capture, control-plane analysis, performance tuning
Experience & Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in Network Engineering
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise networks
  • CCNP (Enterprise) – Strong advantage
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work in high-pressure production environments
  • Customer-facing and stakeholder management skills
Work Environment
  • You will work on enterprise or government networks supporting mission-critical infrastructure and large-scale transformation initiatives.
