Role Overview
The L3 Wintel, Citrix & Azure Administrator will be responsible for managing and supporting enterprise-level Windows Server environments, Citrix Virtualization platforms, and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. The role requires excellent troubleshooting capability, ownership of incidents and problem management, and the ability to design and optimize systems for reliability, scalability, and performance.
The candidate will lead root cause analysis, drive automation and standardization, and collaborate with L1/L2 teams to ensure adherence to best practices and SLAs.
Key Responsibilities
Windows / Wintel Administration
Install, configure & administer Windows Server (2012/2016/2019/2022) environments.
Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, RDP & security configurations.
Perform Server Hardening, patching, OS upgrades, compliance & audit readiness.
Troubleshoot Kerberos, LDAP, SYSVOL replication, AD Sites & Services issues.
Manage Cluster Services, Failover Clustering, NLB, File Services (DFS/FRS).
Performance tuning & event log analysis in complex enterprise environments.
Citrix Administration
Manage and support Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop) environments.
Administer Citrix StoreFront, Director, Delivery Controllers, VDA, Workspace App.
Skilled in Profile Management (UPM/FSLogix) & printing redirection troubleshooting.
Maintain Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) / Machine Creation Services (MCS).
Optimize user session performance & investigate latency, bandwidth & ICA issues.
Implement Citrix policies, access control, load balancing, and session management.
Azure Cloud Administration
Manage Azure VMs, VNets, Storage, Load Balancers, Azure AD, NSGs, Firewalls.
Configure & monitor Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), ARM Policies.
Implement Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Sentinel, Defender for Cloud.
Support Hybrid Identity (AD Connect, ADFS, SSO, MFA, Conditional Access).
Perform Cost optimization, resource governance & tagging.
Virtualization & Backup
Work with VMware vSphere/ESXi: VM provisioning, performance tuning, snapshots.
Manage storage (SAN/NAS) including provisioning & connectivity troubleshooting.
Configure and maintain Veeam / Commvault / Azure Backup / NetBackup.
Incident, Change & Problem Management
Act as L3 escalation for critical incidents and service outages.
Create and update SOPs, runbooks, knowledge base articles.
Participate in CAB (Change Advisory Board) and follow ITIL practices.
Technical Skills Required

Monitoring Tools: SCOM, SolarWinds, PRTG, ManageEngine, LogicMonitor
Scripting: PowerShell (advanced preferred)
Networking: VLANs, Routing basics, Firewall rules, VPN
Soft Skills

Ability to handle high-pressure critical incidents.

Certifications (Preferred)
MCSA / MCSE or Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104 / AZ-305)
Citrix Certified Associate/Professional (CCA, CCP-V)
VMware VCP
ITIL v4 Foundation
