Lab Analyst

Our client is a world-class developer, manufacturer, and marketer of lubricant and fuel additives and chemicals designed to help enhance the performance.

Contract period: 1 Year (Renewable)
Work Location: Jalan Buroh
Work Hours: Rotating 12-hour morning and night shift; 8am – 8pm and 8pm – 8am with OT opportunities

Roles and Responsibilities:
•    Performs quality control tests on blending components, blended lubricating oil, additive and fuel oil in accordance with approved testing methods
•    Carries out sample analysis on used oil or after-sale service samples or complaint samples upon request
•    Checks test results for in-process and finished lubricating oil and additives against specifications and works out components to add to non-conforming batches to conform them to specification
•    Attends to base oil/additive tanker receiving and loading quality control as scheduled
•    Participates in laboratory proficiency testing programs
•    Assists in instrument maintenance and calibrations and performs minor troubleshooting on laboratory equipment
•    Performs daily SQC checks
•    Performs proper housekeeping before the start and end of each shift
•    Assists in cleaning of glassware and waste management
•    Assists in inventory control of laboratory materials, apparatus, documentations of COA/ testing reports and other administrative duties.
•    Assists in retention samples management to 3P warehouse
•    Assists Chemist in test method development and other duties as assigned by the Chemist

Requirements:
•    Nitec in Chemical Engineer
•    Min. 1 year of lab experience in Oil, Gas, Chemical or Petroleum/Lubricant testing
•    Able to work independently
•    Able to work 12-hour shift
•    Able to cover shift when needed
•    Able to travel to Penjuru
•    Able to multi-task
