Lab and Facility Manager

The Lab Manager will work closely with both the research and administration teams, and will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the lab.

The Lab Manager will develop and implement processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste and increase productivity.

Specific activities will include:

• ● Optimize and maintain processes to manage common lab supplies, stock inventory, and order lab consumables and labware ● Prepare and maintain custom reagent stocks (e.g. chemically competent bacterial cells) ● Ensure appropriate and timely common lab equipment purchasing, integration and services, including price negotiation, purchasing, installation, calibration, preventative maintenance, repairs, service contract renewal, and software and hardware upgrades ● Maintain equipment management system, including updating databases when equipment is installed, modified, replaced or decommissioned ● Work with Accounting t...
