General Statement of Job General Statement of Job The Lab Assistant – Architectural and Engineering Design Technology supports instructional programs in the Architectural and Engineering Design Technology (AEDT) labs. Assists instructors and other staff with lab-related work, maintains all equipment, and actively engages in improving the overall efficiency of the technology used in the program. Performs routine and assigned activities in the AEDT program labs.

Assists instructors with class lab activities.

Troubleshoots lab equipment and performs minor repairs; coordinates major repairs with equipment vendors and/or appropriate department.

Maintains and orders inventories of consumable supplies and ensures security of each item.

Assists with preparation and organization of special events for the AEDT program.
