Roles & Responsibilities
Laboratory Management:Oversee day-to-day operations of the laboratory to ensure proper functioning of test equipment and facilities including electrical, electronic and electromechanical product testing laboratory which performs different safety tests including electrical, mechanical, environmental as well as EMI/EMC testsDevelop & implement laboratory management systems and operations procedures to ensure standardization and accuracy of the test processManage laboratory budget, control costs and optimize resource allocationEstablish and maintain uncompromised S & safety practices at workplaceTesting:Define test procedures for testing of electrical, electronic and mechanical products to ensure the compliance with the relevant product standards and regulations ( UL, CSA, IEC, EN the testing process and review the test reports to ensure the accuracy & reliability of the test data for different types of certifications including ATEX/IECEx, NEC/CEC etc.Communicate & coordinate with different Business Units to understand their needs and provide professional technical support & solutions to execute various R&D, validation and product compliance testsQuality Control and ImprovementOversee the implementation of the laboratory quality management system to ensure compliance with quality standards such as ISO/IEC Conduct regular reviews and improvements to enhance the laboratory’s testing capabilities and service qualityHandle customer complaints and feedback to continuously improve the service qualityTeam management:Lead and manage the lab team, responsible for personnel training and performance evaluationMotivate team members ad promote teamwork to improve work efficiency and qualitySolve internal team problems and maintain a good team atmosphereGuide the team on all the technicalities of testing, reporting and accreditationsReview the utilization of different lab resources and plan for new requirements in co-ordination with associated stakeholders Experience
- years’ experience in the NABL or equivalent laboratory accreditation experience, out of which years should be in managerial roleShould have been instrumental in driving the product certification testing with global agenciesExperience of Industrial electrical and electromechanical products testing is preferredFamiliar with UL, CSA and other international standards & certification processExperience in either EMI/EMC testing or Ex pressure testing (Reference pressure, Non-transmission test etc.) is preferred
Qualification-
Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical from a recognized college or university
