Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
1. Soldering, Rework & Assembly
• Perform component soldering/de soldering (down to 0201/0402).
• Replace connectors, jumpers, headers, small IC components as required.
• Execute ECO changes (blue wires, trace cuts, patch fixes).
• Use microscopes, soldering stations, hot air rework tools and inspection tools safely.
• Verify workmanship and ensure clean, high quality rework.
2. Board Bring up & Testing
Candidates must be able to test boards end to end, not just basic electrical checks:
Electrical Bring up
• Power on verification
• Voltage rail measurements
• Short/open checks and connectivity checks
• Connector/Jumper configuration verification
Functional Testing (Mandatory)
• Boot the EdgeQ board using engineering firmware.
• Validate system bring up (UART console, logs, basic network up/down, GPIO/I2C/SPI activity).
• Run engineer provided scripts/test flows and report results.
• Capture logs, console dumps, abnormal behaviors, and escalate failures clearly.
Use Case Verification
• Perform subsystem testing as per checklist for internal validation and customer ready boards.
• Ensure board readiness for hand off to HW, SW, Validation teams.
3. Handling & Documentation
• Proper ESD safe handling and clean lab discipline.
• Maintain logs of rework done, boards handled, tests executed, and failure reports.
• Track boards during bring up and ensure correct labeling and revision checks.

Required Skills
• Strong soldering/rework skills for SMD components down to 0201.
• Hands on experience with microscopes, hot air stations, soldering irons.
• Ability to follow engineering instructions, ECO notes, and rework diagrams.
• Basic functional debugging skills for digital interfaces (UART, I2C, SPI, Ethernet).
• Familiarity with DMMs, power supplies, and basic oscilloscope usage.
• Ability to run full end to end board bring up and test flows.
• Comfortable working with Linux terminal and serial consoles.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
• Experience in semiconductor / embedded / telecom hardware labs.
• Exposure to SoC boards, digital bring up, or factory test flows.
• Basic scripting knowledge (shell/Python) is a plus.
