Lab Technician

Laboratory Test Technician Job Description Johnson Service Group is currently searching for a laboratory test technician to work on a 6 month contract to a possible direct hire position in the western suburbs of Chicago. Test technicians will work in their Flammability Services Group and Thermal Hazards Group. Personnel filling these positions would be expected to: · Safely perform laboratory tests to a variety of different flammability standards · Safely perform experiments using calorimeters to gather thermal data for reactive materials · Document experimental results · Collaborate with engineers on experimental design · Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation, which includes but is not limited to troubleshooting, conducting preventative maintenance, performing calibrations, and minor repairs.
