Description
This person will perform a full range of tasks related to laboratory testing, analysis, and equipment calibration. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties that may be assigned.) • Perform laboratory testing on oil samples derived from the refinery, wet chemistry tests including, viscosity, titrations, Karl Fischer, colorimeter, ash testing (burning oil), octant analysis, water-soluble, density, etc. • ICP, XRF, GC-ECD testing • Maintain, understand, and use laboratory equipment per laboratory policy. • Laboratory cleaning, stocking, and chemical waste handling. • Identify and procure components as needed for maintenance support and repairs on laboratory equipment. • Prepare equipment for cleaning and mechanical repairs and maintain all necessary records. • Perform regular maintenance schedules to ensure equipment is operating efficiently. • Evaluates laboratory and practices safe working procedures to ensure a safe work en...
