As a Lab Technician at MercyOne Genesis, you will:

• Be proficient in the procurement of blood samples via venous and capillary techniques, from patients ranging in age from infant to geriatric.
• Utilize use of the Laboratory Information System for activating, ordering, and resulting laboratory orders from providers and to result laboratory tests.
• Educate patients in the proper collection of specimens such as urine, stool and sputum.
• Review orders from providers, maintaining accuracy in ordering tests; occasionally must call providers' offices to obtain orders.
