About The Position

The overall responsibility of the laboratory analyst includes independently conducting routine and non-routine analyses of geological samples.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and perform maintenance on AAS, ICP-AES and/or ICP-MS instruments;
  • Identify & correct QC related problems by ensuring the quality of the analytical data meets ALS standards;
  • Evaluate data using instrument software and GEMS;
  • Use Microsoft Word & Excel to create written reports;
  • Prepare sample dilutions, instrument operating solutions and calibration standards;
  • Test and evaluate calibration standards;
  • Ensure all prepared and available samples are accounted for in the lab;
