Duties And Responsibilities
Specimen reception (open deliveries, check and prepare samples for grossing including the labelling up of samples)
Contact clients and our partner laboratories via telephone and email if required
General delivery reception (open deliveries and distribute to appropriate place/ recipient)
Type dictation for the grossing technician
Routine tidying and cleaning of all lab areas
Wet tissue and container disposal
Check and maintain stocks of consumables
Pre-print cassettes according to Sop's
Assist in developing/ improving procedures, QA and ECG initiatives
Disposal of specimens and histology containers
Regularly checking and actioning lab requests
Prepare reagents for routine laboratory use.
