Laboratory Operations Manager (12-month fixed-term contract)

Disclaimer: This is not a research role. This role will manage a newly formed 'Technical Service' team that supports the operations of a research laboratory

• You will be responsible for the strategic management of our laboratory, including developing strategies to identify and manage risks.

• You will also lead the planning of laboratory projects, advise the function leadership on future needs, and oversee the optimisation of space, equipment and technical services to support research needs.
• You will interface with the building management team to oversee all laboratory-related matters, ensuring the infrastructure and space remains functional, safe, and fit for purpose.
• You will manage space allocation, infrastructural needs, and health and safety compliance, while supporting research through effective facilities planning and coordination with the Research team.
