Job Description

The Group of Psychiatry, Mental Health and Addictions is seeking a laboratory technician to work on neurodevelopmental disorders, including attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). 

The candidate will join the Psychiatric Genetic Unit, a lab dedicated to understand the genetics of psychiatric disorders in children and adults with the ultimate goal to identify biomarkers for disease. We are involved in genotyping, gene and microRNA expression, epigenetics and microbiome analyses and are looking for a motivated research technician to work alongside our scientists to help elucidate the genetic and psychological landscape of these poorly understood conditions.

Education and qualifications:

Required:

  • Higher Technician Diploma in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory

  • Previous experience in biochemical techniques and molecular biology.
