The Role
Geraldton SHS is seeking to appoint a hardworking and dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our friendly team.
The successful applicant will ideally have initiative, good interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, and exceptional organisational skills. You will be motivated and able to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as independently. Your normal responsibilities will include preparing chemicals, equipment, and materials, and managing laboratory stocks, including ordering supplies and equipment.

- An up to three‑page statement addressing the following selection criteria as outlined in the attached JDF: Demonstrated experience working within a science laboratory, including knowledge of laboratory techniques and relevant safety and legislative requirements. Demonstrated knowledge of science subjects relevant to the curriculum taught in secondary schools and the ability to design and construct experiments and equipment to support curriculum requirements. Demonstrated good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated organisational and time‑management skills and ability to work independently. Demonstrated well‑developed keyboarding and computer skills including a working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
