Laboratory Technician – Electromechanical & Mechatronics Engineering

Overview

Laboratory Technician to support undergraduate teaching laboratories serving the Mechatronics Engineering and Power and Renewable Energy Engineering programs within the Department of Electrical Engineering. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Dean or Chair of Electrical Engineering. The role is central to ensuring safe laboratory operations, reliable equipment performance, accreditation readiness, and high-quality student learning experiences, while enabling academic staff to focus on teaching, supervision, and research activities.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• Applicants must hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
