Laboratory Technician (Wastewater System) Location: Martinez, CAÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Industry: Renewables: Biomass Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts (Onsite) Duration: One (1) year contract (Renewable) Rate: $30/hr Key Responsibilities Maintain ELAP-accredited Bioassay Laboratory facilities, including ordering, tracking, and organizing laboratory chemicals and supplies. Set up, perform, and monitor weekly NPDES-required fish bioassay tests following EPA procedures, including reference toxicant tests. Maintain fish cultures used for bioassay testing. Conduct NPDES-required sampling of treated and untreated industrial wastewater and stormwater per EPA and permit-defined procedures. Prepare and coordinate shipment or pickup of samples by external commercial laboratories.
