Labourer

QTMEC is an industry leading Electrical & Civil based in Karragullen, Western Australia with projects spread throughout the Perth Metropolitan Area.

We carry out work on some of the largest civil projects including Traffic Signals, Street lighting, ITS installation and modifications, and electrical works.

With significant growth in the business, we require labourers to assist our work crews. Previous experience in the civil / construction industry or general labouring is an advantage; we also encourage entry-level candidates to apply as training will be provided on the job, which may also include an Apprenticeship in Civil Construction.

Pay structure will be based on years of experience in this field, qualifications held, and ability to meet KPI targets.

Requirements

• Current and valid Driver's License and your own reliable transport.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Construction Induction (White) Card.
• Ability to follow safe work procedures and adhere to site requirements.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol test.
• Physically fit, motivated, and possess a strong work ethic.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, small equipment, and manual tasks related to civil construction work – an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Contribute and be part of Pre‑start meetings/Toolboxes including Safety documents SWMS, JSA, etc.
• Install electrical and communications conduits and pits.
• Pot hole and spot for Excavator operator.
• Haul electrical cable and communications cable.
• Use compactors and hand tools.
• Install footings and standing poles.
• Concreting.
• Perform general labouring tasks such as sweeping, digging, and site clean‑up.
