Job Title: Land Specialist – Solar Projects

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Land Specialist – Solar Projects to support land identification, due diligence, and acquisition for grid-connected solar/open access projects in India. The role involves working closely with landowners, aggregators, EPC partners, legal teams, and internal technical teams to ensure timely and compliant land acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

1. Land Identification & Land Bank Management

• Identify suitable land parcels for open access solar projects in target states
• Conduct preliminary checks (land classification, access, ROW, proximity to substations, terrain, encumbrances, etc.)
• Maintain a land tracker covering status, risks, and timelines

2. Land Due Diligence & Acquisition Support

• Coordinate with legal teams for land due diligence (7/12, Patta, Title Deed, etc.)
• Benchmark land acquisition/lease costs and payment structures
• Support negotiations with landowners, aggregators, and EPC partners
• Assist in execution of lease deeds and sale deeds

3. Liaisoning & Coordination

• Liaise with landowners, local aggregators, revenue offices, panchayats, EPCs, and solar park developers
• Support regulatory, documentation, and compliance-related activities
• Coordinate with internal technical teams for land feasibility assessments

Location

Bangalore / Gurgaon / Mohali / Mumbai / Pune (Hybrid)

Experience & Skills Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Law, Real Estate, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in land acquisition for renewable energy projects (solar preferred)
• Strong knowledge of land laws, NA conversion/diversion, ROW, and revenue processes
• Good negotiation, coordination, and communication skills
• Ability to work with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
