Language Services Project Manager

We are part of Publicis Groupe’s cross-media production platform (Publicis Production), which brings together specialist production expertise in video, digital media and print, producing and delivering brand content across all channels for top global brands.
Summary
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to work in our Language Services department. This is a client facing role and you will be part of a team focusing on providing high-quality translation and transcreation projects, owning day-to-day client relationship and language project management, ensuring client retention and satisfaction, managing project costs and meeting company margin targets.
Key responsibilities
Responsibilities include end-to-end project management, quality assurance, and client relationship management:
- Managing various language projects, such as translation and transcreation projects briefed internally or directly by the client. This includes assessing requirements, querying/completing briefs, collecting reference material, planning, quoting and scheduling.
- Sourcing and negotiating with in-market transcreators, translators, writers, and other suppliers assisting, evaluating and monitoring them during the project, whilst ensuring meeting company margin targets.
- Ensuring all admin tasks are completed on time, including reconciliation of costs.
- Preparation of files for translation or copy decks for transcreation, including creation of creative and linguistic briefs.
- Working with different CAT (computer-aided translation) tools and project management platforms.
- Proofreading and QA ensuring the delivered copy follows internal quality procedures.
- Building and demonstrating clear understanding of our end client’s brands and their respective tones of voice.
- Maintaining glossaries, playbooks and Ways of Working (WoW) documentation to ensure consistency across campaigns and projects, capturing nuances of the markets, client feedback and marketers/brand managers preferences along the way.
- Managing the copy review/approval process with the agency or client, building strong client and stakeholder relationship along the way.
- Supporting other teams on other language services projects as and when required.
Skills required
- Strong oral and written English skills, knowledge of a foreign language is a plus
- Educated to degree level
- Excellent computer literacy
- Come from language services, transcreation/production and/or media creative industries
- 2 years project management experience in advertising production services with a specific focus on language projects’ needs or in language industry
- Proven client facing experience, comfortable attending client briefing meetings (remotely) if required.
- Flexible and adaptable, able to work in a variety of roles in a changing environment with varying brands and diverse requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills. Effective verbal/written communication with clients, suppliers and internal team members is a must for this role
- An excellent team player working very closely with internal stakeholders to coordinate multi-media needs across production services and ensuring consistency of service and output.
- Proven experience of working in multinational, cross-location teams
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively under remote management, including in situations without local supervision
- Pro-active, detail-oriented, highly organized, able to work to tight deadlines and calm under pressure
- Genuine passion for languages and marketing production
- Strong business acumen and negotiating skills
- Previous use of CAT tools or other industry-specific applications is a plus
