Job Description

CodeWithSense is a fast-growing technology consulting firm helping high-growth startups scale through smart engineering and operational excellence.


Responsibilities

  • Design and build production-grade Laravel applications (APIs, queues, workers, cron jobs)
  • Write, review, and refactor core backend Laravel code
  • Own end-to-end deployment of Laravel systems on AWS
  • Design and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC)
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for staging and production
  • Manage Dockerized applications and deployment workflows
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
  • Monitor, debug, and resolve production issues across code + infra
  • Handle deployments, rollbacks, and incident response
  • Optimize performance, reliability, scalability, and cloud costs
  • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK)
  • Manage database operations, backups, and disaster recovery
  • Collaborate closely with product and frontend teams on architecture decisions


Requirements

  • 8+ years overall engineering experience
  • 6+ years of hands-on Laravel development in production
  • Strong experience deploying and running Laravel on AWS
  • Deep understanding of PHP, Laravel internals, queues, and workers
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems and shell scripting
  • Hands-on experience with Docker
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of networking, load balancing, and security
  • Proven ability to debug complex production issues
  • Comfortable owning systems post-deployment


Good to Have

  • Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Exposure to Kubernetes / EKS
  • Experience supporting high-traffic, revenue-critical systems
  • Strong knowledge of Nginx / Apache performance tuning
  • Experience with cost optimization in AWS
  • Experience building internal tools, scripts, or automation
  • Prior experience working with high-growth startups


Location - Remote

Work Days and Timings - Monday to Friday, 03:00 pm - 12:00 am
