Laser Operators

We are seeking an experienced Laser Operator to join a well-established sheet metal fabrication business in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. This is a permanent full-time role working the afternoon shift, Monday to Friday, 3:00pm – 11:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor CNC laser cutting machines to produce components to precise specifications.
• Interpret engineering drawings and production schedules.
• Perform set-ups, adjustments, and routine maintenance on laser equipment.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality.
• Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety and quality standards.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting machines (fibre laser experience highly regarded).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Forklift licence desirable but not essential.
