Laser Technician

Duration: 10 months contract with possible extension Job Description: 5 years’ experience in a lab environment executing experiments. Clear and solid understanding of how to apply the scientific method. Hands on experience with laser systems and mechanical troubleshooting. Mechanical troubleshooting and understanding of engineering principles is critical. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the design, development, and continuous improvement of laser-based processes and systems. Execute experimental plans, collect data, and document experimental settings and results. Interact with internal customers to understand incoming laser processing requests and ensure timely delivery of sample parts. Support laser system maintenance, including assembly, installation, debugging, and start-up of new laser setups. Maintain accurate and up-to-date process and safety documentation.
