Laundry Machine Operator

Summary About the position: This position is located at the Industrial Laundry Facility, RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom. It offers 0 guaranteed hours per week and the incumbent may be required to work 0-40 hours per week, as needed. The position requires the ability to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to and over 50 pounds. Responsibilities 1. Separates laundry received from base facilities into classes, counts and records numbers of each different article and documents on appropriate document. 2. Loads commercial washers, selects cycle and wash time. Removes laundry at end of cycle and places in commercial dryers. Selects dryer cycle and time best suited for product. Removes items from dryer and folds or prepares for pressing. 3. Assists in maintaining records of all laundry received, processed and returned.
