Summary:
Under general supervision of the Transport/Laundry Supervisor performs a variety of duties relative to the processing of laundered items through the hospitals laundry.
Responsibilities:
Participates in the daily activities and operations of the laundry department. Operates washer and dryer according to established department procedure.
Performs laundry related duties to include pick up of soiled linen and delivery of clean linen to all units and clinical areas. Folds linen and operates the Scrub-Avail System.
Stocks fresh linen on all linen carts. Picks up and delivers linen carts to departments.
Organizes all clean linens inside and outside laundry department daily.
Maintains and monitors par levels of linen for the hospital.
Maintains the cleanliness of the laundry areas.
