How You'll Help Us Connect the World:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) Practitioner to join our sustainability team within a leading telecommunications equipment manufacturing organization. This role will focus on evaluating the environmental impacts of our products and operations across their entire lifecycle—from raw material extraction to end-of-life. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science, engineering, or sustainability, and be proficient in LCA methodologies and tools. This role is critical in helping the organization make data-driven decisions to reduce environmental footprints and meet sustainability goals. This role is based out of Goa, India.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Conducting cradle-to-grave lifecycle assessments for products, services, and systems using recognized LCA methodologies (e.g., ISO 14040/44).
- Collecting, validating, and managing life cycle inventory (LCI) data from internal and external sources.
- Modeling environmental impacts using LCA software tools (e.g., SimaPro, GaBi, OpenLCA) and relevant databases (e.g., ecoinvent).
- Interpreting and communicating LCA results to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and dashboards.
- Supporting the development of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and carbon footprint analyses.
- Ensuring alignment with international standards (ISO 14040/44) and industry-specific guidelines (e.g., ETSI, ITU).
- Contributing to sustainability reporting, regulatory disclosures, and customer inquiries related to product environmental performance.
- Staying informed on emerging trends in circular economy, eco-design, and environmental regulations affecting the telecom sector.
Required Qualifications for Consideration:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Overall 5+ years of experience with at least 2+ years of experience conducting LCAs, preferably in electronics or telecommunications.
- Proficiency in LCA software tools (e.g., SimaPro, GaBi, OpenLCA) and life cycle databases (e.g., ecoinvent, Idemat).
- Strong understanding of environmental standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO, GHG Protocol, Science-Based Targets).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a technical environment.
- Familiarity with sustainability reporting platforms and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel) is a plus.
You Will Excite Us If You:
- Have experience with telecom-specific materials and manufacturing processes.
- Have knowledge of circular economy principles and product stewardship strategies.
- Are able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Are comfortable working in a remote or hybrid team environment.
