This is a senior advisory role focused on leading AML, Compliance, Governance, and Risk consulting engagements across GCC-regulated entities. The position is documentation-intensive and client-facing, requiring strong expertise in AML/CFT frameworks, regulatory alignment, and team leadership. The role involves delivering regulator-ready, audit-quality compliance documentation aligned with GCC requirements and global best practices.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the drafting, review, and finalization of AML & CFT policies, sanctions frameworks, CDD/KYC manuals, compliance programs, and governance charters.
  • Develop detailed SOPs covering customer onboarding, risk assessment, transaction monitoring, escalation, sanctions screening, and STR reporting.
  • Ensure full alignment of documentation with UAE and broader GCC regulatory requirements.
  • Customize and localize AML and compliance documentation for UAE, KSA, Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain.
  • Conduct AML risk assessments, gap analyses, and compliance audits, including detailed reporting and remediation recommendations.
  • Prepare compliance advisories, regulatory submissions, legal notes, and formal response letters to regulators.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 5+ compliance analysts, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables.
  • Review team outputs to ensure audit-ready, regulator-facing standards comparable to top-tier consulting firms.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, timelines, and delivery quality.
  • Coordinate multiple engagements simultaneously while maintaining consistency and regulatory accuracy.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Strong, hands-on experience in AML policy drafting and SOP development (mandatory).
  • 4–5+ years of experience in compliance documentation, regulatory advisory, or legal drafting roles.
  • Professional qualification: CA, CS, or LLB.
  • Excellent written English with strong structuring, articulation, and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience leading and reviewing work of teams (minimum 2+ members).
  • Comfortable working in UAE time zone and handling GCC-focused regulatory work.
