Job Description

Why This Role Exists

The organisation is building a Auto IT Talent Hub to support its evolution into a regional software and digital engineering centre. This role sits at the centre of that initiative and is responsible for building talent capability systems, not running ad-hoc training.

  • Driving industry–academia collaboration, especially postgraduate Auto IT programs
  • Translating future software-defined vehicle skill needs into actionable program

  • Operating with ownership in ambiguous, first-of-its-kind initiative
  • A PowerPoint-heavy strategy role with execution

Seniority & Experience Sweet Spot

• 4-7 years total experience

• Has owned initiatives end-to-end, not just supported them

• Comfortable influencing without formal authority

This is not a late-career role.

Ideal Backgrounds

• Automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, IT services, digital engineering firms

• Exposure to automotive software, embedded systems, cloud, or digital platforms

• Experience with talent programs, internal academies, university partnerships, or capability-building initiatives is a plus

• Engineering degree preferred but not mandatory

• Strong alternative profiles with Applied Sciences, MCA, or deep hands-on technical credibility are acceptable

• Learning agility and system thinking matter more than degrees

Non-Negotiable Traits

• Builder’s mindset

• Strong executive communication

• Ownership without blame game

• Comfort with ambiguity

• Ability to think in collaborative systems, not silos
