Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure electrical items for mining equipment such as Filter presses, crushers, conveyors, feeders, screens, Thickeners and material handling systems.

  • Handle procurement of motors (HT/LT), VFDs, PLCs, MCC panels, switchgear, cables, sensors, limit switches, encoders, lighting, and instrumentation.

  • Study electrical drawings, GA diagrams, BOMs, and technical specifications provided by design and project teams.

  • Float RFQs, perform technical and commercial evaluations, conduct negotiations, and finalize purchase orders.

  • Develop and manage approved vendor lists for electrical equipment suitable for mining and harsh operating conditions.

  • Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, IEEE, and mining safety standards.

  • Coordinate with planning and production teams to meet project and manufacturing schedules.

  • Track order execution, manage expediting, and resolve quality or delivery issues.

  • Support cost optimization, localization, and alternate sourcing initiatives without compromising reliability.

  • Maintain procurement documentation, ERP updates, and MIS reports.

  • Assist in audits and ensure adherence to company procurement policies.

  • What you bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.

  • 4–6 years of procurement experience in mining equipment manufacturing, heavy engineering, EPC, or bulk material handling industries.

  • Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems used in mining applications.

  • Experience working with project-based procurement and manufacturing BOMs.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (D-365 preferred) and MS Office tools.
