Key Responsibilities:
Procure electrical items for mining equipment such as Filter presses, crushers, conveyors, feeders, screens, Thickeners and material handling systems.
Handle procurement of motors (HT/LT), VFDs, PLCs, MCC panels, switchgear, cables, sensors, limit switches, encoders, lighting, and instrumentation.
Study electrical drawings, GA diagrams, BOMs, and technical specifications provided by design and project teams.
Float RFQs, perform technical and commercial evaluations, conduct negotiations, and finalize purchase orders.
Develop and manage approved vendor lists for electrical equipment suitable for mining and harsh operating conditions.
Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, IEEE, and mining safety standards.
Coordinate with planning and production teams to meet project and manufacturing schedules.
Track order execution, manage expediting, and resolve quality or delivery issues.
Support cost optimization, localization, and alternate sourcing initiatives without compromising reliability.
Maintain procurement documentation, ERP updates, and MIS reports.
Assist in audits and ensure adherence to company procurement policies.
What you bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering.
4–6 years of procurement experience in mining equipment manufacturing, heavy engineering, EPC, or bulk material handling industries.
Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems used in mining applications.
Experience working with project-based procurement and manufacturing BOMs.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (D-365 preferred) and MS Office tools.
