DATABASE ARCHITECT LEADNext-Gen Database Modernization & MigrationRole FocusA strategic leadership role driving database modernization through AI-powered solutions, automation excellence, and accelerator-driven delivery. This position builds next-generation teams that deliver high-quality migration services across cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).AI-Driven Migration - Leverage AI tools for schema conversion, code optimization, workload analysis, and intelligent automation Accelerator Development- Build and integrate reusable frameworks, templates, and tools to standardize and fast-track migrations Presales & Solutioning - Drive sales calls, estimate migration efforts, and present compelling solutions to prospects and executives Automation Excellence - Automation-first mindset using IaC, CI/CD, and scripting to maximize team capacity and delivery quality Quality Delivery - Deliver consistent, high-quality migrations with minimal downtime through proven methodologies AI-powered migration tools (schema conversion, code remediation, query optimization) Intelligent workload analysis and migration planning AI assistants and copilots for database optimization and troubleshooting Build/integrate accelerators for effort optimization in migrations Cloud-native tools: AWS DMS/SCT, Azure DMS, GCP Database Migration Service Third-party solutions: Striim, Quest, Informatica, and similar platforms Drive database migration sales calls and customer engagements Accurate effort estimation to support presales team Excellent presenter with ability to influence and convince stakeholders at all levels Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Azure DevOps, Python, Shell scripting CI/CD pipelines for database deployments Repeatable, error-free processes that maximize team capacity Database platforms: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL (Architecture, HADR, Performance Tuning) Cloud expertise: AWS, Azure, GCP (on-prem to cloud, cloud-to-cloud migrations) Documentation: HLD/LLD diagrams, runbooks, flow charts, estimation templates Lead and mentor database architects to deliver program excellence Foster innovation culture with focus on AI adoption and continuous improvement Build high-performance teams through automation best practices and knowledge sharing Establish industry-leading standards for database migration services AI-First Approach β Uses AI to accelerate every phase of migration Accelerator Mindset β Builds tools that multiply team productivity Sales Enabler β Drives revenue through compelling technical presentations Automation Champion β Optimizes processes for quality and capacity Quality Obsessed β Delivers consistent, high-standard results "Remote postings are limited to candidates residing within the country specified in the posting location"About Rackspace TechnologyWe are the multicloud solutions experts.
