Responsibilities: Direct Tax – India & APAC
- Facilitate and manage the preparation and review company tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms.
- Preparation and filing of Income tax returns and other statutory returns relating to Income tax
- Handle assessment and prepare reply for notices from departments.
- Preparation and filing of TDS returns
- Advance Tax and deferred tax computation, Income tax computation on quarterly basis.
- Responsible to legally minimize tax liabilities through informed application of tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and review tax calculations, provision to return, estimates and reports accruals.
- Lead and coordinate ad-hoc tax-driven business initiatives locally or regionally
- Manage and coordinate tax audits and bring that to closure
- Ensure changes in Income tax rules have been implemented in system.
- Understanding of Indian and international accounting standards.
- Knowledge of assessment proceedings scrutiny matters.
- Knowledge of best practices in the industry.
- Liaise with the external and internal teams for the preparing the necessary filling documents.
- Review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
- Work closely with Corporate Tax Department and be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the tax department
- Drive process efficiencies and improve effective utilization of resources within the team
- Design and manage processes to ensure calculations are continuously updated to meet changing jurisdictional requirements
- Help drive process improvement initiatives by applying strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Manage Team and the SLA’s of the Process

Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should Post-Graduate/MBA/CA with 6 to 8 years of relevant work experience in Direct taxation
- Strong Tax research skills for tax regulation and ability to translate the research into technically written tax memos
- Must be able to work with a high level of accuracy and demonstrate an analytical mind set
- Public accounting or prior experience working with a US multinational captive company is a plus.
- Knowledge of general ledger systems (preferably Oracle)
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated individual with extreme attention to detail and organizational skills
