Job Title: Lead DBT Developer
Experience Level: 8 - 12 years

We are seeking an experienced Senior DBT Developer with deep expertise in Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DBT, SQL, ETL processes, and cloud-based data platforms. This role requires hands-on expertise in modern data engineering practices and the ability to mentor junior team members while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable DBT models, pipelines , and transformations.
- Develop and manage ETL workflows to support analytics, reporting, and data quality initiatives.
- Optimize SQL queries and ensure best practices in data modeling and data governance.
- Work with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP to implement secure and high-performing solutions.
- Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and product teams to ensure consistent and reliable data delivery.
- Conduct code reviews, implement testing frameworks, and enforce development standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, transformations, and integrations.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience in data engineering or BI development.
- Strong hands-on experience with DBT (Core or DBT Cloud) including modeling, macros, testing, and documentation.
- Expertise in SQL with the ability to write optimized, complex queries.
- Deep understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data stack principles.
- Experience working with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake , BigQuery, Redshift, or Azure Synapse.
- Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD processes.
