Lead Devops Engineer

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

ALead DevOps engineerworks on projects or tasks that ensure consistency & stability in design & implementation of software tools used in the development of software & asset management in the production environment. Be creative during collaboration on best practices and ways to improve performance along with efficiency.Possess resolve for troubleshooting complex and simple issues alike. They will have a keen eye for recognizing inefficiency and take the initiative to simplify processes for their team and customers. A solid understanding of automation and infrastructure as code would be desired!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide AWS native solutions to Infrastructure and design automations
• Utilizing Infrastructure as Code best practices, develop, maintain, and enhance systems using scripting language (Python and bash)
• Analyze the design and suggest better solution.
• Create and maintain automated CI/CD pipeline (in Jenkins and Terraform) for automation with DevSecOps standards.
• Provide recommendations to management through research and review of recent industry solutions in various configuration related tools/technologies.
• Maintain Config admin owned tools such Nexus, Terraform, Apache, Tomcat, Ngnix etc.
• Create documentation and training material; provide training to others to ensure cross collaboration.
• Support ana maintenance - OS patching, key rotations and ensuring the application is in zero down time
• Participate in company-wide working group for contributing to strategy for Enterprise needs.
• Consulting to development teams on development process automation.
• Support and delivering exceptional service during change control and system updates.
• Guide and mentor team juniors members from a technical perspective to ensure quality delivery of the project.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS):

Technical competencies :

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems or related technical field
• 6+ years of DevSecOps experience as Config Admin or similar role
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillset
• Past participation in major systems rollouts and deployments
• Understanding of advanced continuous delivery methods.
• Solid foundation in internet and networking concepts including VPN and SITA
• Proficient UNIX/LINUX scripting knowledge (PERL, Bash, etc.)
• Ability to formulate a design strategy from a mix of business requirements, conceptdocuments and verbal description
• Outstanding communication skills, including oral, written, motivation and presentation skills
• At least 5 years' experience in AWS cloud, DevOps and continuous improvement
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to automate the build, test, and deployment processes
• Experience developing and maintaining infrastructure using Terraform or other IaC tools, to ensure scalability, security, and repeatability across environments
• Experience automating and managing system configurations and application deployments using Native AWS solutions to enforce security policies and maintain system integrity
• Experience implementing testing with automated security measures, including access controls such as OIDC and OAUTH, encryption (AWS KMS), federations and identity management (OKTA)
• Experience mentoring junior team members from a technical perspective.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE (PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS):

• Hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux/Solaris
• Hands-on experience in implementation with integration tools as SFTP, Kafka, Rest and SOAP
• Cloud deployment models and concepts AWS
• Understanding of China Connectivity
• Hands-on experience in implementation with DevSecOps Tools: Jenkins, Nexus, Git (Bitbucket), Ansible, chef, OWASP, Veracode, Sonar, Ready API etc.
• Experience in configuring various monitoring tools. (Elastic-Kibana, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch etc.)
• Experience in DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Python programming experience is advantage
• Held the role of a critical contributor to or leading major systems rollouts and deployments
• Good to have knowledge in Airline domain.
• Experience with working with cloud native applications, container orchestration platforms such as Docker/ Kubernetes.
• Monitor and optimize cloud resources to enhance cost efficiency and maximize performance.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
