Job Description
Job Summary
The Lead Electrical Design (PCB layout) engineer for optical transceivers is responsible for creating the physical layout of printed circuit boards (PCBs) used in these devices. This involves translating high-level circuit designs into a physical representation, ensuring compliance with electrical and optical requirements, and optimizing for performance, manufacturability, and cost.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Translate high-level design into physical layout: The engineer converts schematic designs into physical layouts on the PCB.
Ensure electrical and optical compliance: This includes adhering to design rules, impedance matching, signal integrity, and optical performance requirements.
Optimize for performance, manufacturability, and cost: The layout should achieve optimal performance, be easily and economically manufactured, and meet any cost targets.
Work with cross-functional teams: Collaborate with electrical, optical, and mechanical engi...
